EViaggio.it is a new, all-Italian online platform for finding hotels and restaurants equipped with Destination Chargers
For anyone driving an electric car, choosing a hotel with a charging socket is essential. Often, however, many properties that advertise EV charging actually have facilities suitable only for e-bikes and e-scooters . It was this need that gave rise to EViaggio.it , a platform created for finding and reviewing Destination Charger and charging points. Completely free for users and owners, the platform already lists over 1,300 destinations.
The idea
Created by Nicola Carlon, a 35-year-old engineer who owns an electric car, EViaggio.it was born precisely to meet the needs of those who travel with zero emissions and are looking for a hotel with charging. «When choosing hotels and restaurants I always rely on Booking.com and TripAdvisor, but on both platforms the charging information is unclear. Once I even discovered that a hotel had listed the charging point in the nearby public car park as its own, and couldn't even tell me what connectors it had. Among the many apps for finding charging points, there was nothing dedicated exclusively to destination chargers, where owners could also claim their property, update the information and reply to reviews».
EViaggio.it: how it works
The platform lets you add destinations and fill in a series of fields useful to those travelling electric, such as the connector type, the power output, whether the service is free or not and compatibility with cars of all makes. You can also add the property's Booking.com and TripAdvisor links, because it is always useful to read reviews from “non-electric” users, as there are many more of them. Destinations can also be reviewed, and claimed too. In other words, owners can take over their page on the site, update the information and reply to reviews, just as on the best-known platforms.
