“With an electric car you don’t stop to charge, you charge when you stop”. That is the mantra of Eviaggio, a completely free website that lists all the “destination chargers” (a term coined by Tesla) strategically located at shopping centres, restaurants, holiday resorts, hotels, holiday villages and campsites.
For everyone. Unlike the charging network set up by Elon Musk, Eviaggio lists charging points suitable for any make of electric car, not just those reserved for Tesla owners. The aim is clear: to make getting around easier for users who have chosen to embrace plug-in mobility and to help them plan trips and holidays across Italy, supporting them in their search for accommodation with charging facilities. A handy filter lets you choose between the various types of venue: hotels, restaurants, campsites, wineries, shops, swimming pools and gyms, with the guarantee that you only see destinations that have been verified by their owners. You can also filter venues by connector type, or limit them to those offering free charging. You can even choose by charger power, or plan a trip to a specific region, province or municipality, checking your route against the availability of charging points.
Information at the click of a button. Eviaggio collects user reviews and lets drivers share their experiences with other motorists, ensuring up-to-date information in the interest of both travellers and the people who run the venues. It is precisely to these owners that the site offers the chance to create a personalised showcase where they can add images, videos and a profile with a section dedicated to specific information about the charging point and more, from opening hours to social media contacts and booking links, as well as their location on Google Maps. Eviaggio also has an app, currently only available for Android: however, this gap is likely to be filled soon as the number of users and owners grows.
